Hi, I’m Cheryl, a children’s book illustrator. I’m half Zimbabwean and half Ukrainian and live in beautiful Kansas City, Missouri, the “city of fountains”.

Besides illustration and the fun devices employed in this art to tell stories, I love dogs, milk tea and running.

My artistic style focuses on beautiful color, composition and narrative where I enjoy depicting children and animals with a cute, curious, and sometimes skeptical nature. I love using simple shapes to create characters that are lively, expressive and full of emotion.
